The required location is the ruins of Volskigge. To pick up the mask, you must overcome bandits, draugr and, finally, the priest Volsung himself on your way.

To get the Mask of Otar, you need to get to Rangwald, north of Markarth. Inside the dungeon you need to get two skull keys and use them to further progress.

"Ragot"

The required location is Forelhost. You can enter the dungeon by stealing the key from Valmir or simply by talking to him. The highlight of this dungeon is the glass claw; don't pass by.

Honest way
This mask can be obtained ONLY for the quest "Staff of Magnus", That is, you need to go through the College of Winterhold.
The mask is located in the Labyrinthian location

The essence of the quest
You need to find the Staff of Magnus in order to defeat Ancano
At the end of the location you will enter a huge hall. You will see that the dragon priest Morokei is tightly protected by two magicians who constantly support this protection

Quest tips

First we kill the magicians, then Morokei.

  • 1.Against Mages:
  • 1.1 Bow - the magician's scourge (taken from one of the ghostly Draugr earlier) - quite effective against magicians holding Morokei;
  • 1.2 Mages can be killed directly from the corridor leading to the hall with Morokei, thereby saving your resources before the battle;
  • 1.3 The magician on the highest platform occupies a convenient position from which the entire cave is visible; you might want to take his place;
  • 2Against Morokei:
  • 2.1 Morokei can summon a Storm Atronach, but he doesn't seem to be able to summon it again if you kill him;
  • 2.2 Morokei can use Daedric Order, turning the atronachs you summoned against you;
  • 2.3 Morokei sticks to ranged and magical attacks, avoiding melee combat; In general, when tested, it was proven that he is powerless (does not attack you at all) if you are very close to him and inflict physical damage on him;
  • 2.4 Platforms around the walls of the room provide protected positions, which will give you a significant advantage in the fight;
  • 2.5 It turns out that if you drive him into the pool, he will not be able to get out of the water, and also will not be able to fight back;
  • 2.6 You can use the door to the hall where Morokei is located as protection and in order to attract his attention. In addition, you can move away from the door when he attacks, or simply close it: Morokei will remain in the hall, giving you the opportunity to recharge your spells and aim.
After the murder, take the Morkay mask and the Staff of Magnus. When you leave the location, Estormo will interfere with you, he will want to kill you.
Using Lightning Bolts against him is effective.

Dishonest way
Go to the console and write "player.additem 00061C8B 1"
(The console button is most likely “e” or look in the controls)

4. Vokun mask

The mask is located in the location "Ruins of the High Gate"
After going inside and going further, you will meet Anska. After talking with her, the quest “Scroll for Anska” will begin. She will become a companion for you.

The quest says "Defeat Vokun"
After the victory, take the mask from him and, going further, we take the scroll.
We give the scroll and receive Gold.

5. Krosis mask

6. Otar mask

The mask is located in the location "Rangwald"
The quest "Uncover the secrets of Rangvald" is also available.

The essence of the quest:

When you arrive in Ragnvald, you will see a tomb in the main hall. To open it, you need to find 2 skull keys: Sarek's skull key and Torsten's skull key. When both skulls are obtained and inserted into the slots in the tomb, the dragon priest Otar the Mad will awaken. After defeating him, you can pick up your reward - the Otar mask.

7. Hevnorak mask

The mask is located in the "Valthum" location. You receive the mask after killing the dragon priest Hevnorak.

Where the Wooden mask was lying, we put it on. The mask takes you back in time. In front of us is an altar and on this altar we need to place all the masks (except for the wooden one because if we take it off we will go back) on the altar. After which you will receive a Konarik mask. You can also pick up other dragon priest masks.

DLC masks

In addition Dragonborn for Skyrim there are 4 masks.

  • 4. Azidal - enhances fire spells by 25%, and also protects the owner by 50% from attacks by spells based on this element.

When loading locations, everyone probably saw this picture. This is a pedestal with images of the eight main dragon priests who worshiped dragons. Now they guard the dragon burials. Each of these priests wore a magical mask, each named after its own priest. Priests are strong, so at low levels it will be difficult to deal with them without a supply of potions. But if someone has already managed to find one or more of these masks, then you already know what you are dealing with.
All masks are unique, there are ten of them. But to find them all, you need to collect the first eight, then use the ninth, which will help you find the last tenth mask. Confused? Then let's talk about everything in order.
To find the locations of the masks, use. It is better to save the map on your desktop and open it on a large scale. The map post has all the locations and approximate location on the map.
So...

1) Ragot. +70 to your stamina.
Ruins of Forelholst near Riften.

2) Flock. +30% resistance to fire, cold and electricity.
Ruins of Ragnvald near Markarth.

3) Nakrin. +50 to magic, destruction and restoration spells consume 20% less magic.
Skuldafn.
This mask can only be obtained while completing the main storyline, the quest "House of the World Eater".

4) Morokei. +100% to magic regeneration.
Labyrinthian near Morthal.
Mages Guild quest "Discovery of the Invisible".

5) Krosis. +20% to hacking, archery and alchemy skills.
Double-headed peak west of Windhelm.

6) Vokun. Spells from the schools of witchcraft, illusion, and alteration cost 20% less magicka.
Ruins of a high gate, not north of Morthal.

7) Volsung. Prices are 20% more favorable, carrying capacity +20, breathing under water.
Wolskigge, west of Solitude.

8) Hevnorak. Immunity to diseases and poisons.
Valthoom, east of Markarth.

After these masks are collected and in your inventory, you need to go to Labyrinthian. In the middle of the ruins there is a small round mound, you need to go inside and find the ninth mask and the diary. The diary is worth reading.

9) Wooden mask.

We put on the Wooden mask. If you read the diary found at the site, then you understand what happened. Next you need to put all the masks on the images of the priests on the pedestal, as in the picture at first, and in the middle the dragon’s mouth will open, in which there will be the last tenth mask.

10) Konarik.

I met Vokun first in the game; it was immediately clear that the mask was unique. The second was Morokei, and then the thought comes to mind that most likely there are more. I didn’t like any of them based on their magical properties; I didn’t wear any of them.
Masks can be improved at the forge.
There are still a few dragon priests in Skyrim. So if all the tasks regarding the plot and organizations are completed, this is not the end))

Finally, an interesting video.

Greetings dear gamers. In this post I will talk about the unique elements of the character's armor - the masks of the Skyrim dragon priests "a!

Face of the Damned. Dragon Priest Masks

Face of the Damned. Dragon Priest Masks

Let's start with the story elements.

In ancient times, when dragons ruled Nirn and people bowed to them, Alduin chose some people from the crowd and gave them masks that give their owners enormous power, making them Dragon Priests.

They guarded sanctuaries, ancient mounds and fortresses. And so, the dragons managed to disappear and will appear again, but the dragon priests did not go anywhere. They slept in ancient graves, doomed to eternal life, albeit in a dead body.

Superficial information.
So, in Skyrim you can meet only 8 dragon priests. Each of them has special powers, each wears a magical mask.

You can meet them in ancient temples/ruins, ancient Nordic burials, or in the mountains - near walls with words of Power.

Location, description of effects.
Total in game 10 masks, but at first we can only find 9 of them.

Let's start with the simplest mask.

Wooden mask.

Face of the Damned. Dragon Priest Masks

Face of the Damned. Dragon Priest Masks

This mask does not give the player any special bonuses; it is needed to perform the ritual of obtaining the 10th mask in the Labyrinthian Temple. We will find it in the sanctuary of Bromjunar, in Libyrinthian.

Mask of the priest Nakrin.

Hevnorak is the boss in the quest "Evil Slumbers". Located in Valtum.

In the language of dragons, "Hevno" means "Cruel".

Mask of the priest of Morokea.

Face of the Damned. Dragon Priest Masks

Face of the Damned. Dragon Priest Masks

A whole story could be written about this priest. Found in Labyrinthian, and only during the quest "Staff of Magnus"

commissioned by Winterhold's Colleague.

"Morokei" means "Glorious" in the language of you know who.

He is the owner of the Staff of Magnus.

Ghostly images from the past found in the Labyrinthian show how Savos Aren encountered Morokei before Dovahkiin. In desperation, he sacrificed the lives of two College students in order to keep him sealed in Labyrinthian for the good of Skyrim.

As the Labyrinthian progresses, Morokei addresses the player - first in dragon language, then in human, mistaking him for Savos. His disembodied voice, often accompanied by a blue wind that drains magic, follows the player all the way to the end of the dungeon, where the player finds two ex-college students holding Morokei back.

Mask of the priest Otar.

Face of the Damned. Dragon Priest Masks

Face of the Damned. Dragon Priest Masks

Otar the Mad is the final boss in Ragnvald. He is in a closed coffin near the Wall of Words, but you can only get to it by first killing Otar. To get to him, you must defeat his two guards - Thorsten and Sirek - and take their skull keys.

Mask of the priest Ragot.

It can be found at the end of the Wolskigge dungeon, or by climbing the hill above the main entrance.

The name "Volsung" can mean - Terror of the Air or Air Horror, as it can be divided into two separate words: Vol, meaning Horror, and Su, meaning Air.

Mask of the priest Vokun.

All TES fans know about these artifacts - if you wish, you can collect the entire collection of masks, each of which has its own properties and effects. And the design of the masks is very good. It's time to sort them all out individually (with a light pinch of spoilers), which is the purpose of this article.

There are 14 masks in total, including the Wooden Mask (more details below) + 4 masks from the Dragonborn add-on. To obtain any mask, you will have to fight a dragon priest - the masks are named after their owners. These are quite strong opponents, you need to be ready to conquer the artifact.

1. . Increases carry weight by 20 units, allows you to breathe underwater and prices are 20% more favorable. This beauty is located in the ancient Nordic ruins of Volskigge - it is between the Lost Echo Cave and the Forest Stronghold, not far from the Dragon Bridge, it can be obtained without a quest. Enemies are waiting for Dovahkiin already at the entrance to the ruins - it will not be difficult to fight them. Next come looters, traps, chests with useful items (it’s better to stock up on master keys); a riddle that must be solved to open the grate; word of power, draugr, spiders – classics, in general. At the end, of course, a dragon priest awaits, from whose body you can then take 250 coins and, in fact, the mask.

2. – a valuable gift for magicians. Mana recovery speed increases by 100%. This mask is located in Labyrinthian - it is south of Morthal, easily accessible by road. But you won’t be able to go there if you don’t have the “Labyrinthian Door Ring” with you. To get the ring, you need to complete the main quest of the College of Mages - but the mask is worth it. It’s impossible not to notice that the quest and the location itself are interesting, exciting, and Labyrinthian is a unique complex of ruins, simply teeming with adventure. At the very entrance to the ruins, the player will find many enemies and many of them are unusual... Okay, no spoilers. So, at the end of the location the owner of the mask himself is located + Magnus’ staff for further passage.

3. . But this “bun” is good for thieves. Shooting skill increased by 20%, hacking and alchemy skills by the same amount. Its habitat is Double-Headed Peak. This location is in the mountains, but it is not difficult to get to. The wall of words is guarded by a dragon, but if the quest “Dragon in the Sky” is not completed, then it will not be here. Now, to take a mask, you don’t need to roam around ancient ruins, solve charades and breathe rotten draugr - just go to the wall of words, defeat the dragon and the priest. The player takes the mask, learns 3 words of power at once (Voice Throw) and leaves without unnecessary suffering.

4. The mask increases your stamina by 70 units. Possession – Rift, dungeon – Forelhost, very close to the city. Near the entrance to the ruins there is a camp of the Stormcloaks or the Empire - it depends on which side the GG chose. Then the player will find out everything himself. A small note - in the captain's pocket there is one interesting note that reveals his real face. There are a whole bunch of traps and dead bodies in the ruins. In general, I don’t want to spoil the impression of the quest (it’s quite interesting), so the player will learn everything from his own experience. Note - hordes of draugr rest in the refectory of Forelhost - when was it easy to take away valuable artifacts from the ruins? And in the battle with the stranger, Ragot will be helped by high-level draugr. The entire reward on the priest’s body is a mask and a powerful staff that creates a wall of fire. At the exit, the GG is greeted by a wall of words and the camp captain himself, sending another naive soldier to certain death in the ruins. Only the captain’s uniform is now not the same as at the beginning of the quest - he was dressed as a Storm Brother, but became an imperial... Why would that be?

5. – provides complete resistance to diseases and poisons, which is very good for a mask. Priest Hevnorak - speaks to the player in the same way as Morokei (he is not inferior in strength). And his “base” is located in the Valthum tomb (many spiders, many coffins, many dangerous draugr) - the possession of the Reach. Walking towards Hevnorak, you can contemplate the picturesque, mountainous landscapes of the Reach. A player who enters the ruins receives a quest that will have to be completed in any case. In addition to the mask, the priest has a personal staff with him, which builds a thunderstorm wall with 50 units. electrical damage per second.

6. increases resistance to three elements at once - electricity, cold and fire - by 30%. The priest's burial place is Rangvald, the possession of the Reach, not far from the Lover's Stone. The interesting structure and magical beauty of the tomb distinguishes it from other ruins. To release the priest, you need to remove the iron clamps - for this there are two skull keys, guarded by strong draugr. Otar is a fairly strong opponent. Like Hevnorak, you can pick up the Thunderwall Staff from him.

7. – this thing adds 50 units to the player. manna, restoration and destruction spells consume 20% less magic. The mask awaits the player in Skuldafn (which is impossible to get to without completing the main storyline). Yes, there are a few unpleasant moments here - draugr and dragons, but Dovahkiin is probably already used to them. There are even more draugr inside Skuldafn; to put it bluntly, there are simply tons of them! Behind the door opened by the claw is another wall with a thu'um (Storm Call). And at the top of Skuldafn, right in front of the portal to Sovngarde, Nakrin himself swoops in with open arms with a staff.

8. also helps magicians. Thanks to her, spells from the school of illusion, alteration and witchcraft save more magic power. You can find her in the High Gate Ruins (east of Solitude and west of Dawnstar). The most primitive Nordic tomb with puzzles and draugr, with the exception of the girl companion who will meet the GG at the entrance to the ruins. The priest has the same thing - a mask and a staff of fireballs. To be honest, it’s not difficult to get to it, at least compare it with Nakrin. And the properties of the mask are quite useful for the magician.

9. Very, very cool mask - . This is its trick - at a low level of health, the mask heals the wearer (+250 life units), and with the second decrease in health during the battle, it additionally envelops the player in a fiery aura, which inflicts 8 (with pumped destruction - 25) units. damage per second to all surrounding enemies for one minute. There is a 2% chance that the mask will summon a strong dragon priest who will protect Dovahkiin.

10. . Without other masks it is completely useless, but nevertheless, only with its help you can get Konarik. It lies in the Labyrinthian location, in the Sanctuary of Bromunar, humming quietly. Yes, it's just lying there. This item transports the wearer back in time, to the Sanctuary of the Dragon Priests. To get Konarik, you need to place all 9 masks on the altar in order to start the mechanism. In this case, not a single mask will disappear; everything can be taken back. If you lose a wooden mask, you can return it using the console command.

And now 4 masks from the island of Solstheim.

11. – increases the supply of mana. The amount of increased magic depends on the player's level. You can get the artifact during the main storyline of Solstheim by defeating the formidable enemy Miraak.

The remaining 3 masks help the magicians of the school of destruction.

12. – resistance to frost spells by 50 units. + Cold magic deals 25% more damage to enemies. Location: White Ridge Mound. The mask can be obtained by completing the quest “Lost Knowledge” or “The Secret of the Black Book (Sickly Regent)”. Everything is according to the rules - draugr, albino spiders, a priest and his mask.

13. – fire resistance by 50 units. + fiery spells deal 25% more damage to enemies. Additionally, you can collect a set of Azidal equipment on the way to the priest - such a big “bun” for the magician. Given with the dragon priest during the “Excavation” quest, in which the player is drawn into by the Dunmer Ralis Sedaris at the Kolbjorn Mound.

14. – resistance to electricity by 50 units. + Electricity magic is 25% stronger. It is located in the small Bloodskal mound, which also has access to the Raven Rock Mine. The mask quest itself is taken either from the miner Cresius Karellius “The Last Descent”, or he can get caught in the tavern, that is, “Reward for the bandit leader”.

A collection of dragon masks will decorate any inventory, any mannequin, any showcase. If you also download a mod for a special stand in Dovahkiin’s estate, designed for dragon masks, then they will look great and remind you of past adventures. Still, Skyrim is truly a great game!
