Skyrim SE - Gray Hood Nocturnal. The gray cowl of nocturnal walkthrough

A task, a quest! - that's putting it mildly, the mod adds a huge world to the Skyrim game, about a day of playing time (in my case), the opportunity to carefully think about puzzles, and not swing swords, although there is a lot of the latter there too.

There are several famous places to visit, two lands including an island in the Coldharbour realm, and the hidden and isolated territory of Hammerfell.
The modification also includes:
Interesting main quest.
New NPCs.
No less interesting additional quests (they help solve the main quest).
New weapons, spells, clothing and armor.
The secret of the plot.
In general (as quoted by the author) this is a full-fledged DLC and I completely agree with it!

Nocturnal's gray hood hides the face of the wearer. Neither light nor definition spells can penetrate its depths; those who played Oblivion remember this.
Stories about the elusive thief nicknamed the Gray Fox have been walking around the Imperial City for several centuries. They say that he can turn invisible, shrink to the size of a mouse, turn into fog, seep under locked doors, and perform many similar incredible feats.

When you complete tasks, do not forget about the Gray Fox and the new Spells that you find; using them may open up new horizons.
Look everywhere around you (the puzzles are difficult and you may have to go back to the beginning of the location to solve them), the answers may be in unexpected places!

Before starting the quest, do not forget to make a new save (there may be no way back)!!!

You need to know how to start the Quest, just pickpocket without consequences.
All portals open, you need to know how!

Special requirements: Player level is at least 25-35, average knowledge of Illusion, the “Clairvoyance” spell and a little patience (until you get to the desert), turn on the credits.

List of updates:
- The script for Gray Hood has been reworked.
- Fixed amulets when used on mannequins.
- Fixed wall texture problems in the Skyrim area.
- Fixed some character issues in books.
- The translation has been slightly corrected by me.

Description:
A rather interesting quest to obtain the legendary relic of the Gray Hood Nocturnal, also known as the mask of the Gray Fox. When you are wearing this mask, you can do various dirty tricks - those around you will decide that “that same Gray Fox” is to blame for everything. Plus there are Swift Jack's boots (WANTED!), a nice ring with exclusive properties and something else...

How to start:
- Starting an adventure is very simple, you just need to steal something, from a display case or your pocket - it doesn’t matter. But completing the quest will be somewhat more difficult. I advise you to study a couple of dragon calls before this - at least Whirlwind Sprint - otherwise you will spend a long time looking for your way through the Hall of Fire. Candle Room - how to get there - ask the Gray Fox bust...

Upgrade from version 1.0 to 2.0:
- The author recommends starting a new game, or

Upgrade from version 1.1 to 2.0:
- The author did not write about any problems when switching from version 1.1 (i.e., you can simply download the archive from Nexus - and overwrite it on top, then the archive from here - and overwrite it on top), but, nevertheless, the scripts changed, and I I'll be glad if someone checks this.

Upgrade from version 1.2 to 2.0 Director's Cut:
- We simply copy files from the archive with replacement. Texture files from the folder..\<папка с игрой>\Data\Textures that you installed earlier can, in principle, be deleted... if you leave it, it’s okay, they’ll just take up additional disk space (quite a bit). Is it possible to continue the game, or do I need to start a new one: - I have no idea, I started a new one (for completely different reasons), but the author did not write about this nuance. Check it yourself.

The installation is quite simple:
1. Download the archive from our website, unpack it with a 7-zip archiver
2. Install the files from the "Main mod" folder (.bsa and .esp files in the Data folder in the game) and activate it.
3. Install the addition “Gray Cowl of Nocturnal Alikr Flora Overhaul 1.5”, take the files from the “Flora Processing” folder (you are unlikely to refuse it) and also install it into the game and activate it.
4. If desired, install patches.

Additional files:
One kind person sa547 did for Gray Hood Nocturnal major processing of the flora and made a number of other good improvements. Landscapes now, as they say in good German cinema: “I, I, das ist fantastic!” In general, it should look like the last screenshot...
- Also, in the archive there is an alternative beginning of the quest - The Thief's House between Riften and Ivarstead.
- And one more patch - replaces the clairvoyance spell with another (if Vera allows:)

Separately from the archive, you can download the camel patch:
Patch "Replacing a horse with a camel" 1.0

Welcome to an exciting adventure game from Italian developer Manny GT called “The Gray Cowl of Nocturnal”. The history of this character is much more fascinating, because its roots go back to the third era, before the Oblivion Crisis, where this man was the champion of Cyrodiil. It is much more interesting to find out what happened to him after the above event and how it all ended.

An excellent quest line with an intricate plot awaits you, locations with a considerable number of puzzles (sometimes so complex that you have to get lost for a long time in search of a solution). For those who like to steal and look for various loopholes, the author has come up with an additional plot thread, finding all the components of which will cost a lot of work. Important new game mechanics that allow you to use flashbacks, only in real time, in order to go through some places or get acquainted with the story through cutscenes.

Many locations. There are a lot of locations. We start in an abandoned fortress covered in a blizzard, find ourselves in intricate Cyrodiilian structures, making our way through many dungeons, appear in the desert and move on to new achievements and solutions. It's great!

Back in 2015, we filmed a review of it, which, although not of Western quality, was still informative and brief:

To begin the story of the Gray Hood, all you have to do is steal something. So simple.

As a bonus, I am providing you with first-class work with HD textures for the mod (installed only on the Special Edition version that supports them, unlike the “vanilla”), which, although not made by the author himself, was highly appreciated by him and recommended for use.
